Directors Message
Dear Parents,
I am excited to welcome you back to a new academic year at Al Ghanim Bilingual School. As per the Ministry of Education guidelines, this year will start virtually until further notice from the MoE and the MoH.
Our school community, just like the rest of the world, experienced many challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic. Our school community dealt with these challenges with resilience which gave us the confidence to face any challenges that might come in our way.
Our faculty and staff have been attending professional development courses to learn new technology and online teaching skills to be better equipped for this academic year. The school has increased its internet capacity, upgraded its programs, and purchased new software and hardware to meet the growing needs of virtual learning.
Our focus as always is the best interest of our students. Therefore, we assure you that any decisions the school makes has the students’ best interests at its core. Our students' education, health, safety, and well-being remain our top priority. Teachers and administrators are working collaboratively to create safe virtual learning environments for our students. Our teaching and learning guidelines have been updated to meet the needs of the students.
At GBS, we wholeheartedly believe that the parents’ role is critical in the child’s emotional, social and intellectual development. Therefore, we ask you to support your children by ensuring that they maintain good study habits and remain engaged in learning. GBS will support you during this virtual learning journey by dedicating orientation sessions designed to train you on our platforms.
GBS is expecting a virtual accreditation team visit by the Council of International Schools in Nov. 2020. We are working diligently to meet CIS’s international standards as we have done for so many years.
GBS family is looking forward to welcoming you all to an exciting year.
Ms.Majida Halawi
GBS School Director
